Start by washing your hair with a hydrating shampoo and a hydrating conditioner or mask. Gently towel-dry your hair to remove excess water, leaving it damp but not dripping. Apply the curl-enhancing cream first, then take a small amount of curl-activating potion in the palm of your hand. The ideal amount varies depending on your hair’s length and density. Rub your hands together to evenly distribute the potion, then apply it to your hair, focusing on the lengths and ends, where curls tend to be drier. Use your fingers or a comb to spread the potion evenly. For extra definition, you can twist individual strands around your finger, use a brush, or try the scrunching technique (gently squeezing curls from the bottom up). Let your hair air-dry for a soft, natural look, or use a diffuser for more volume. Once your hair is dry, you can apply a small amount of the potion to the ends for added shine and frizz control, if needed.
